Wachira Gichu

At ALA, Wachira is the Managing Partner. He develops and plans the various projects of the company and advises on all legal aspects.

Wachira is a seasoned corporate leader and lawyer with over 20 years of experience. He is an expert in Capital Markets, Agribusiness, Commercialization of businesses and process, Commercial Laws and Regulations.

He has worked under different capacities at the Nairobi Securities Exchange including Head of Compliance and Legal, Acting Chief Executive and Business Development and Commercial Director. He has also worked as the Managing Director of Kenya Planters Co-operative Union (KPCU) Limited. He has also been on various Boards as a Non-Executive Director including the Africa Stock Exchanges Association. He is a Founder Member of the Real Estate Investment Trust Association of Kenya.

He holds a Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Otieno Mokaya Esq.

At ALA, Mokaya is tasked with the following: Preparing, reviewing and negotiating company contracts, requests for proposals and other legal documents, Consulting with management, commercial advisors, tax experts, accountants and marketing staff, Negotiating and drafting contractual agreements, such as real estate leases, and advising on employment matters, Developing the organization’s policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance or regulatory affairs.

Mokaya is a an Advocate of the High Court by training and practice, an alumnus of the University of Nairobi and holds a post graduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Mokaya has previously worked as a trainee advocate in a busy law firm, a legal officer in government regulatory body and in-house counsel in a real estate company.

Mauline Akinyi

At ALA Mauline assists in preparation of regular reports, general office duties, provides general support to the team and the visitors and general admin and operation duties. Mauline is a trained Accountant and has experience working as an account’s administrative assistant at various previous employments.
